The Fresh Air team has been at the forefront of Fatigue Risk Management since the early 2000s. In addition, members of the team have co-authored some of the most important and influential publications in this area, including a review of fatigue risk management systems and a critical review of the evidence relating to driver fatigue, both for the UK Department for Transport, as well as industry guidance on how to manage fatigue using a fatigue risk management plan, for the UK Energy Institute.

This experience means that members of the Fresh Air Team are regularly consulted as expert witnesses in civil and criminal cases where fatigue is suspected to have been a contributory factor.
