Fatigue Audits
Fatigue Risk Management doesn’t end when the policy and procedures have been signed off. For organisations with a large, distributed workforce, it is essential that regular audits are conducted to ensure that the words are reflected in practice and that FRM processes are working effectively.
Fresh Air clients recognise the value of engaging an independent third party with extensive experience to undertake these audits. Our impartiality enables site personnel to engage openly and honestly with us, without fear of negative consequences. Our independence also means we often identify features of the operation that have become embedded as part of the company culture, but which are compromising the safety objectives of the organisation.
The Fresh Air team has undertaken fatigue audits in a diverse range of environments: from oil and gas plants in the Shetland Islands, to national rail operators through to seaplane operations in the Maldives. Most recently, we have conducted audits for organisations who are implementing fatigue risk management plans and wish to check that their approach is fit for purpose, consistent with cross-industry best practice and will be considered appropriate and sufficient by their industry regulator.
